Day four, the last one

Today was Josh last day at the factory. Shaped my Long Fish Simmons in the morning. The board looks so damn good!!! The rails and the bottom are amazing. I'm going to fly on that thing. Can't wait to have it ready.
After a cool lunch we went for a tour around Sintra, Guincho, Cascais and Estoril. Then we went back to the factory to shape a last minute order.
Early morning Josh will take the Bus to Spain and Nico will start doing his magic with resin.
It was great to hang out with Josh, he is a great guy and we hope he returns to Portugal soon.

Day three

Busy day for me so couldn't make it to the factory.
Josh kept working hard. Shaped some MFSQ and a 5'5 Pescado.
Tomorrow it's his last day of work. Tomorrow it's time to shame mine!

Rui went there to choose his new surfboard and sent me some pictures of Josh shaping it.

Day two

Day two at the factory. Josh finished the amazing Big Fish Simmons and did a San Diego Keel Fish in the Morning. Then it was time for a Rocket Quad, and let me tell you... that board looks so good!!! That one got my attention.
When I left the factory he was working hard on a MFSQ.
Josh is a great guy and it's a pleasure to hang out with and watch working.

Day one

The day started with a tour to check the waves and our beautiful beaches.
When we got to the factory it lunch time so we just organized paperwork and tools.
After a good lunch Josh started working. The First Blank was a beautiful Red Cedar Triple stringer for a Big Fish Simmons around 9'6.

Bonzer Time

Yesterday I went to pick up 2 Bonzers for some costumers. Shaped by Malcolm himself and glassed by the Manila crew.
It was the first Bonzers I ever had in hand and let me say... Those boards are awesome, out of this world.

I will take better photos when possible but for now:

Just a short delay

Josh Hall will arrive in Portugal only next Sunday, November 22.
He is travelling through Spain and asked to go first to Salamanca and then Portugal to avoid going back. Josh lived there for a while and left many friends that he hasn't seem for many years.
I think it's great that he wants to reconnect with his old friends and it’s just a short delay that won't do much harm.

We’re ready and waiting for him.

This also means you still have a few days to order your custom JH Surfboard

San Diego to Portugal part 1

The idea of getting a shaper from California to Portugal is nothing new – previously I’ve collaborated with other factories to get the likes of DJ Kane, Jeff McCallum and Malcolm Campbell over to Europe – but I’ve never sorted one out on my own. Until now!

Last summer I started talking to Josh Hall about getting him over here for a visit. (...)

Yellow House Surfcamp

My good friend Rudolfo opened a surfcamp at our local beach, Santa Cruz, Portugal. It's a great spot between Ericeira and Peniche, less than an hour from the Lisbon International Airport.

Santa Cruz is a small village with a nice and calm atmosphere and the place to be if you want to surf in one of the finest and less crowded Portuguese beaches. When too tired to surf, there's plenty to see around the area or you can just relax in the garden and pool.

Unlike other camps, Yellow House Surfcamp offers high quality rooms for a comfortable and quiet stay.
Crowd nowadays can be a huge problem so many people find themselves wondering where to travel to enjoy some lonesome and fun surf. Money and security is always part of the equation that leads to perfect vacations so we are sure to say that Santa Cruz is the place to be!

Yellow House offers surf lessons for those who need to learn or improve their skills and Rudolfo is always available to take you to the best surfing option in the Area. I'm sure you will love Santa Cruz and the Camp. I know I do!
