size doesn't matter

Although with some delay, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I don’t expect much from 2011, health, love from my family and if possible less problems and more happiness. And of course, I hope to surf a lot more than last year.

Sometimes we complain too much and don’t make the best of what we have. So I’m starting the year with a beautiful video of Felipe and Fabio Siebert making the best of tiny conditions that most of us wouldn’t surf. Video was filmed and edited by Rafael Ribeiro. Nice work!

Siebert Woodcraft Surfboards

It’s been a while since I started following the amazing work of Felipe Siebert and his hollow wood surfboards under the label Siebert Surfboards. The asthetics and classic surfing of his boards goes back to the 50’s/60’s but the quality of his work can be compared to the great names of today like Hess, Grain or Wegener.

“Situated in Florianópolis, state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, Siebert Surfboards' is specialized on building 100% wooden Surfboards. This kind of board is known as "hollow wood surfboard".It is an aesthetically diferent board. It’s value is directly connected to the origins of surf, through wooden boards and their evolution in the 50’s.”
