It’s the last week of this year and time to look back and analyse all that happened.
2010 was the best year for Magic Quiver, mostly because of Ryan Lovelace trip to Portugal. The number of visits to the blog increased a lot, sales went pretty well with costumers coming from all over Europe and even manage to get some attention from the local surf media. But it wasn’t all good and 2010 was also be the year when Magic Quiver ended as a shop. It was a though decision but the dream was over.
The worst moment of 2010 it’s probably the surfing accident I had in August. It was a scary moment that could have been a lot worst. I was very lucky.
I haven’t surfed since then. First because I just couldn’t and then life and all it’s problems kept me away from surfing and I end the year with an empty surfboard rack at home.
The best moment? All the ones I’ve spent with my family, especially with my kids.
Regarding surfboards, I want to end the year with my good friend Nico and his Wavegliders. Nico and Carlos have been building some of the best surfboards I’ve seen in Europe and I’m sure they have a bright future ahead.
Thank you all for spending some of your free time here.
Hope you have a great 2011.
All the best
Rui Ribeiro
