Maalaea

New model from John Belik for Shimbawa - Maalaea

"Maalaea- This is a board that is perfect for shortboard performance but generates speed just like a fish. The template is wider than the normal shortboard but the bottom is designed similar to a Bonzer ...but set up as a quad with the High Aspect fins that allow for the board to go anywhere you want it to go...draws different lines than the fish" - Words from Sean Mattison

Round Tail Quad

Winter is approaching and with it the big swells. Time to leave our summer board. And for those coming from Fish Boards, what to choose for winter? Here is a suggestion:

The Round Tail Quad is a very versatile design that can be stretch up to 6'6"/6'8 and it’s a excellent option for those winter sessions.

John G. Belik

Fica aqui o link: http://www.newyorksurf.com/features/nysintv/belik/

Many might never heard of John Belik or Shimbawa Surfboards. Belik always preferred to work on innovative concepts, experiment other than to fall under the demands of production. Belik was part of the original crew behind the Fish design in San Diego, was one of the first to ride a board under 7’, developed 6 fins boards but only recently accepted Sean Mattison proposal to create Shimbawa Surfboards so they could make Belik amazing designs more available.
