O Chris Christenson esteve no ano passado na Blend Glassing, em França. Dessa sua visita ainda estão disponiveis para venda algumas pranchas: Twin Keels, Quads, algumas C-Bucket e 2 Gliders.

A laminação é da responsabilidade da Blend Glassing, uma das melhores fábricas da Europa, e como podem ver pelas fotos, nada fica a dever ás melhores fábricas da Califórnia.

Chris Christenson was in France last year, shaping at Blend Glassing factory. From that trip there are still a few boards in stock. Twin Keels, Quads, a couple C-Buckets and 2 Gliders.

Glassing was done by Blend, one of the best glass shops in Europe and the final reasult is as good as the best ones from California.

The In Memory of Eddie Aikau invitational was held on December 8 at a huge and perfect Waimea. Greg Long won it with impressive rides including a perfect 100!
Greg won it on an amazing surfboard shaped by Chris Christenson.
Although many of you only know CC for his Fish and Longboards, Christenson is much more than that and a true expert when we talk about surfboards for serious waves.
Christenson learned from Dick Brewer how to make big boards work and the results are here. Greg won Mavericks in 2008 and now the Eddie, both on a Christenson surfboard!

Second part of the diary of Josh stay in Portugal is online:

I spent most of last Thursday morning watching Josh shaping my new board. From his hands sprang an amazing Long Fish Simmons, mixing the best elements of the Skip Frye design with some of his own design touches. She looks great and all the details make sense – I’m sure it’s a keeper!

We had just one blank left at the factory, and after a delicious pepper steak for lunch we figured we had time to fit in a quick drive around the area’s tourist spots. Josh was only here for a week, and we wanted to fit in as much as possible in the short time, so we headed to the atmospheric old town of Sintra – famous for his historical buildings, luxurious gardens and ancient palaces – and had a quick sightseeing tour encompassing Castelo dos Mouros and Palácio da Pena, residences built for past kings and queens. New post on Drift about Josh Hall trip to Portugal, part 1 of his stay:

Josh Hall finally arrived in Lisbon on 22 November to kick off the Portuguese leg of his European shaping tour. Thankfully, the following day dawned bright and blue – a welcome change from the rain and clouds of the previous week, and perfect conditions for a trip along the coast.

We drove to Ericeira so that Josh could see some of Portugal’s best surf spots. The waves were huge, too big to get in, but at least Josh got an impression of how powerful the waves over here can be. (...)

The Shadow

So you don't say it's only about Josh Hall now, here's a great video of Sean Mattison riding one of his designs for his new label Von Sol. The board is called The Shadow and it's a 4 fin wing pin that is the bridge between performance shortboards, and fuller fish designs.
