But the experienced hands of the guys at Surf Service/Red Eyes, especially Fabio, manage to amazingly restore the bottom to his original shape and look. It was a very complex and dificult repair but the final result is just amazing, perfect.

Double Bump Canard Quad

Invented by San Diego's fish guru Rich "Toby" Pavel and considered to be one of the most popular fish designs around the world, the double bump canard quad is a great board for both intermediate and advanced surfers alike. A performance minded fish that is the ultimate section connector. Sort of a must have in everyone's quiver. A very down-the-line, rippable board that can be ridden in a wide range of conditions from point surf to beach breaks, thigh high to well overhead.

The Swordfish

The newest evolution in modern fish design. Similar to rocket fish of the past with a narrower nose and fish tail, this board is purely a performance minded design. Basically combining my favorite attributes of my favorite fish I owned I set out to make a fish that worked well in top to bottom surfing, but still had the fast, down the line, double pump blinding speed that helps it connect sections. This board does an off the top snap more like a shortboard than a fish. With a sleek, thinned out fish foil and modern performance bottom contours, it planes and drives off your front foot like that of a wider fish. The long continuous curve in the outline in the last 18" of the tail makes for more stability in faster hollower waves and/or powerful rail surfing.

Twin Keel Fish

The original, traditional fish. The keels normally have a much straighter outline and look the part of a traditional keel fish, but have a nice foiled out, refined feeling without blobby noses and overly thick tails. My keels have a fair amount of vee in the front helping the surfer achieve the feeling of being IN the wave more so than on top of it. A double barrel concave through the fins with slight vee off the pins help achieve maximum drive down the line.

Twin Fin (Performance Twin)

My twin fins utilize a single wing swallow tail. The two stood up fins on top of the pannel vee bottomed board make for a quick snappy ride. Twin fins are the definition of fun in small facey surf and have a place in everyones quiver. They do effortless off the tops over and over again as you learn to surf off of your rail. I offer these boards both with flat vee bottoms and 4 channels. Four channel twin fins come as glass-ons only.

Five Finners (Bonzer)

Inspired by the campbell brothers 5 finned bonzer design these board utilize 4 side runner smaller fins along with a larger center fin accented by a deep double concave through the fins. Great for juicy waves and barrel riding. Also good for smaller days when added to a stubby/ fish style board. Great boards and a great addition or 3 to your quiver!

DK back in Portugal

DJ Kane, da DK Surfboards, de novo em Portugal.
O shaper da Califórnia, DJ Kane, regressa a Portugal e á BoardCulture no final do mês de Outubro para mais umas sessões de shape.
DK é um jovem e talentoso shaper que cresceu na Florida onde começou a fazer as primeiras pranchas com apenas 14 anos. Aos 18 mudou-se para a Califórnia para aprender e trabalhar perto dos melhores.
Trabalhou na Rainbow Surfboards e algum tempo mais tarde conheceu Rich Pavel, que o convidou para trabalhar consigo. Nesse tempo a trabalhar com o mestre Pavel, DK evolui de forma considerável e tornou-se num dos mais talentosos shapers da Califórnia, desenvolvendo algumas das Fish mais modernas que podemos encontrar.

DJ Kane, from DK Surfboards, will be back in Portugal.
Californian shaper, DJ Kane, returns to Portugal and to BoardCulture Factory at the end of October to shape a few more boards.
DK is a young and talented shaper who grows up in Florida and started to shape at the age of 14. At 18 he moved to California to work amongst the best.
He worked at Rainbow Surfboards and a few months later met Rich Pavel who invited him to shape under his wing. Those months working with the master Pavel, taught DK a lot about shaping and helped him to become one of the most talented shapers from California.
