Josean just sent me some photos of his beautiful D.Bowls.
This 9'4 D.Bowls was shaped Ryan Lovelace on his trip to Portugal and then finished by the Wavegliders crew, Nico and Carlos.
It has a clean white tint and glass on wood fin by Quilhas Alfredo.

Thanks for the photos Josean and enjoy your amazing new board.

the special one

Every surfboard I've sold was unique and very special. From the first e-mail to the delivery I do my best to make my costumers happy with the buy and try to assure they get the perfect surfboard, the Magic one, just like they dreamed.
But this one will remain in my memory for a while. It's an amazing surfboard from all angles. From the shaping process to the riding style everything in this board is unique and absolutely beautiful.
Such surfboard deserves a great photo and who better than the owner to do it.

Shaped by Ryan Lovelace, glassed by Ryan with the help of Nico and sanded by Carlos.

Flex Spoon

Portuguese surf mag, SurfPortugal, has on the latest issue a nice article about the Flex Spoon and George Greenough legacy. The Flex Spoon shown on the photo was hand made by Ryan Lovelace on his trip to Portugal last June. It was the first one made in Portugal and one of the few ever made in Europe.

I will post photos of that outstanding surfboard as soon as possible.

Check the amazing photo by Miguel Barreira, proud owner of the Flex Spoon.

First 2 are ready

The first two boards from Ryan Lovelace are ready for delivery.

- First is a beautiful 5'8 OG with an amazing fabric inlay by Ryan and Nico. It's one of my favourite boards from Ryan. A shape that I'm sure will work perfectly on Joan's feet. Hope you enjoy it!
- Second is a 7'11 Mini-glider. It's almost 8' of pure Glide. Get her in a good wave Claude and she will make you smile!

Ryan is gone but still a lot to do

Ryan left Portugal last Saturday morning. He was tired but happy and willing to return soon.

He shaped almost all his models, a couple custom ones and a unique and impressive Flex Spoon!
He had time to catch a few waves, although not the best Portugal has to offer. The onshore never stopped and swell wasn't enough for an epic session. That Asym Hull asked for a decent test that we will have to do for him... Life isn't fair!!!!
Ryan shapes captured the attention of the editor of SurfPortugal mag, João Valente that was very kind to pay us a visit and do an interview with Ryan for the mag. A very cool and relaxed interview, done outside, sitting on bricks, just like two friends chatting. Earlier we had André Carvalho taking some photos of Ryan shaping. You can see some of his work on his blog http://umframecomvida.blogspot.com/
The feedback from this trip has been amazing and we're only half way. We still have to glass all the boards and deliver then to all the anxious costumers.

There are plenty of photos from this trip and I promise I will post a few later. For now, here's some from André Carvalho and a great one by Miguel Barreira (last photo).

Busy week

This has been a very busy week for us, specially for Ryan. A lot of boards to shape! This week he finnaly managed to catch some waves and today he did an interview for the portuguese surf mag, SurfPortugal. Work is almost done, just 1 more day of work ahead. Then its all to Wavegliders to glass all that foam.

I will post more photos soon but in the meantime, here's a few from today, including a couple from the glassing of Flex Spoon.
